DoppelTab privacy policy

Effective date: 2026-08-28

DoppelTab accesses currently open browser-tab URLs only after the user grants the optional tabs permission. It uses those URLs to find exact duplicates, keep the local toolbar badge current when tabs or windows change, close user-selected tabs, and optionally reopen recently closed URLs.

What DoppelTab does not access

DoppelTab does not inspect page content, form values, cookies, authentication data, downloads, bookmarks, or past browsing history. It does not inject content scripts or request permission to modify websites.

Storage and transmission

Safety settings are stored in browser extension storage. The temporary undo record contains only the most recent closed URLs and tab positions in browser session storage. It is cleared when the browser or extension session ends.

Badge checks compare URLs in memory and do not retain a history of scanned URLs.

DoppelTab has no account, server component, analytics, telemetry, advertising, or network requests. It does not transmit, sell, or share open-tab URLs or extension state.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

DoppelTab's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. DoppelTab uses open-tab URLs only to provide its user-facing duplicate-tab detection, cleanup, badge, and undo features. It does not transfer this data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it.

Visiting this website

This policy describes the DoppelTab extension. Visitingblakeniemyjski.com is separate from using the extension: the website receives ordinary web-request data and uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic. That website activity is not available to DoppelTab and is not combined with open-tab URLs or extension state.
